3rd Workshop of Ukrainian Synchrotron and Neutron Community

3rd Workshop of Ukrainian Synchrotron and Neutron Community

Organised by the Ukrainian Synchrotron and Neutron Community (USyNC) — a non-governmental organisation of scientists working with synchrotron and neutron radiation, founded in Kyiv in 2025 — this third workshop is a milestone in the advancement of synchrotron- and neutron-based research in Ukraine. The event is strongly supported by the SOLARIS National Synchrotron Radiation Centre, the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI), and the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, with a shared commitment to empowering Ukrainian scientists within the synchrotron and neutron domains.

Date

Wednesday, 4 November 2026

Submission

Contributions to the USyNC workshop should be made via the general SPO 2026 submission form. All synchrotron- and neutron-based research will be allocated to the workshop sessions by the Program Committee. Abstract submission closed on 25 October 2026. Registration for online participation is open until 6 November 2026; the Zoom links are sent automatically after registration.

Participants will gather to explore the latest innovations in X-ray and neutron scattering, spectroscopy, and imaging techniques, with sessions designed to foster in-depth discussions on the applications of these technologies in materials science, technology, and beyond. The workshop will provide a unique platform for Ukrainian researchers to engage with leading experts, share insights, and collaborate on future projects that will strengthen Ukraine’s scientific capabilities and enhance its integration into the global research community.

This event highlights cutting-edge research and underscores the importance of international support in overcoming challenges and driving scientific innovation in Ukraine.

Topics

Discussions on recent developments in synchrotron radiation research, X-ray spectroscopy and scattering, neutron scattering and spectroscopy, imaging, and XFEL-based research
